While the current owners operated a mixed farming operation (fat lambs, wool, cattle and cash crops) the country would suit a part or full cattle trading or breeding operation (which is more usual in this area) combined with cropping.
• Fodder for the sheep and cattle has been provided by a combination of dual-purpose crops (currently there is 280 ha of dual-purpose wheat), winter cover crops (includes brassicas, turnips, legumes and oats), stands of Premier digit grass (subtropicals) and native pastures.
The property has been run conservatively stocked and includes merino ewes crossed with Border Leicester rams delivering a quality first cross prime lamb (and wool). A mains connected hotwire backbone has been installed to allow high intensity cell grazing. There are more than 50 new or refurbished concrete troughs (at least one per paddock) for both sheep and cattle.
